Crafts with children: how to make a kite

If we think about what we can do when we have free time to spend with the children, sometimes we run out of ideas. Especially when the weather is bad to go to the beach and we are in a holiday village with few things to do. Making crafts with children is a great opportunity to enjoy together, in addition to having fun with a little practice, you can become a most creative family!

Today I bring you this idea to make a wreath with kites To decorate your child's room, home garden or party: How to make a kite with children.

Material needed to make the kites

Plastic drinking straws White glue Colored silk paper Colored pinocchio paper White rope Mix of white glue and water Glue gun (for use with adults) Scissors

Step by step to make the kite garland

  1. Cut the straws into pieces and paste them on the base of tissue paper that will form our kites. Put the straws as it appears in the image (you can cut them to make the sizes you want).
  2. Once the tail has dried completely, we cut the kites just outside the straws.
  3. We can design the front of our kites by gluing more colored paper on the front, you can make moles, stripes or whatever you can think of. You add a string at the end of the kite and attach decorative motifs.
  4. To make the garland, you introduce a rope inside the straws that cross the kites and so you will be next to each other. You can hang them to decorate your child's room, a birthday party or whatever you can think of.
