Disney Parks and UNICEF join in the 50th anniversary worldwide celebration of "it's a small world"

Last April 10, 2014 Disneyland Paris, together with UNICEF and Disney Parks around the world celebrated the 50th anniversary of the attraction it's a small world. This is an emblematic attraction created by Walt Disney for the UNICEF pavilion at the 1964 New York World's Fair and can be seen below in an original image.

Personalities and celebrities such as Isabella Rossellini, Elle Macpherson or Salma Hayek who have sung the popular melody have been joined to this celebration, encouraging Internet users to do the same and hang up their own videos on SmallWorld50.com in order to raise funds in favor from UNICEF. And is that for each video uploaded to the Internet performing the song, The Walt Disney Company will donate a dollar. In Spain, the players of Barcelona Neymar, Piqué, Fabregas or Valdés have wished a happy anniversary to it's a small world.

Inaugurated in the 1964 New York World's Fair, and created by Walt Disney himself (in the picture), the attraction is one of the most symbolic and loved by the public.

Although initially it was created exclusively for the world Fair, this musical boat ride was so successful that Walt Disney himself moved it to his first Disneyland theme park in California in 1966. Since then, the four remaining Disney Parks that have been opened around the world have included their own version of the popular attraction, with dolls that represent children from all corners of the planet dressed in the typical costumes of their country, singing in unison a melody on universal harmony.

Here is the promotional video which encourages us all to sing the melody:

Disney Land Paris It is the first European tourist destination with 275 million visits since its opening in 1992, in 2013 it reached 14.9 million visits. It includes two Theme Parks, seven theme hotels and a variety of restaurants, shows and fun. The visit to Disneyland Park transports visitors to the heart of Disney magic and allows them to meet their favorite Disney characters. Disneyland Paris has 59 attractions, 61 stores and 54 themed restaurants.

In the images you can see images of the five Disney Parks in the world that have joined in the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the attraction It's a small world. The parks have been: Disneyland Resort in California, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan, Disneyland Paris in France and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort in which the unforgettable melody of the attraction has been sung in a unique karaoke.

The song was created by a team of Disney experts and its catchy tuning was composed by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, two classics of the company we met in the recent Saving Mr. Banks.

During the promotion of the website to encourage us to participate, people from more than 150 different nations have already done so. The page will be operational until May 30 to raise as much as possible up to a maximum of $ 100,000, which adds up to the 150,000 that The Walt Disney Company has donated to UNICEF to support its cause.
