  • For the masses: 200 gr of flour, 125 gr of butter, 75 of sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of chemical yeast, a pinch of cinnamon
  • For the grape filling: 350 gr of grapes, the skin of half a lemon, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 tablespoon of sugar

How to make a rustic cake with grapes and cinnamon

We start preparing the dough. To do this we mix the flour, butter and sugar, kneading it for about 8 minutes until making a more or less uniform ball. We divide the dough into two halves and store one in the fridge.

In the other half, add the beaten egg and the yeast, and knead it for a while until it is no longer sticky. Then we put a baking paper and on it we stretch to form the base of our cake helping us with the roller. Let rest While we make the filling.

We prepare a syrup by cooking the water with sugar, cinnamon and lemon peel until it is reduced by half. We add the grapes broken in half and without the seeds and let it confit in the syrup for a few minutes When they are very soft, we drain them and cover with them the base we had formed.

We preheat the oven to 175º and take half of the dough that we had left in the fridge and we throw it on the grapes forming small pieces or miguitas to cover the entire surface of the cake. Once covered, we put it in the oven and cook it for about 35 minutes or until the surface of our cake has a beautiful golden color.
