Why not remove the appendix to babies at birth?

Many people in his life suffer from inflammation of the appendix, aka appendicitis, having to be operated with relative urgency because it is a medical condition that is very likely to complicate and end up causing death.

Appendicitis does not only affect adults, it also affects children, having to be operated with a few years to avoid major complications. In fact, the first case of appendicitis described dates from 1554 and was explained at the autopsy of a seven-year-old girl. For this reason, because it is a “piece” of intestine that nobody values and whose only mission in life seems to be inflamed and endangering people's lives, I ask: Why not remove the appendix to babies at birth?

And since we are, in order to avoid future interventions, the tonsils could be removed, which are a defensive barrier, but which, like many children, are removed, because it is done at the beginning and you avoid more problems later.

If the baby is a child, in the same intervention you can take advantage to circumcise it and if it is a girl, they could remove the labia majora to expose the minors, which would be the equivalent of circumcision (remove the skin that covers the glans to expose it).

I apologize

Ok, I'm sorry, I just made you read three paragraphs of ideas that I don't share, but I love my foreskin (well, love is relative, but I would not like anyone to take it from me because) and I see that thousands of children in the US are and will be intervened at birth to avoid infections and future conditions that with a little hygiene and sexual education can be prevented quite successfully.

It has always been said that the appendix is useless and that nothing happened if they took it away. The reality is that if it is there for something it will be. For a few years they have been seen lymphatic functions (helps clean and defend our body) and regulatory functions, as it produces enzymes and hormones. You can live perfectly without appendix, but there is no reason to remove it if it is in good condition.

Well, regarding the foreskin of babies and adults, which we talked about yesterday, I think the same. It seems to be useless and, being a piece of skin, it is likely that you will not see a clear function in a long time, but I am clear: if it's there for something it will be. I look at the animals and hey, they all have the great guard. I don't see why we humans have to expose it with an operation a few days after birth.

And I don't see it, especially because it can also prevent sexually transmitted diseases and urine infections by offering people a bit of sex education, explaining that there is something called a condom that prevents most STDs, including HIV and that if it is your partner and you want to do it "bareback", but you have doubts, you can always do a blood test that says whether or not you have a sexually transmitted disease.

You can also explain that hygiene is interesting, that every day, when they take a shower, they should clean the area, discovering the glans so that water and soap run and thus eliminating secretions that could cause infections.

Perhaps even so circumcised people have less health problems in their penis in their lives, but hey, removing the appendix to all babies is sure to avoid appendicitis and I doubt that anyone would think of doing something like that, an appendectomy, to a Baby without symptoms of anything.

With regard to the removal of the labia majora in girls, I'm sure that if I proposed such an intervention everyone would get on top of me, including the American defenders of circumcision, so I better not talk about it, because I wouldn't understand the disparity of criteria .

I don't know, maybe in the future the incidence of health problems related to men's penis will be triggered and I will end up recommending that babies be circumcised but, for now, I position myself in favor of saving that little piece of skin with which healthy children are born and, evidently, in favor of not touching the appendix, the tonsils and of course nobody's labia majora.
