He May 17, 2012 The VII Edition of Internet Day is celebrated. The main objectives of this day are to promote access and promote the good use of Internet new technologies with special attention in the educational community because of the importance that these tools are having in the educational processes.
In 2012, the Internet focus to undertake, innovate or get a job and for this reason the organization of the event invites all schools to join by contributing reflections and proposals on this subject.
In addition for the little ones a Story, Poetry and Drawings Contest in which they will have to present their vision on how they see new technologies and their influence on people's rights. Participation must be done through a teacher who acts as a facilitator and moderator of the works presented in each school. There are prizes such as consoles and tablets and especially that the act will be presented in the Senate on May 17.
Also this year 2012 have invented the Wall, a space to express those ideas and wishes to help young people to innovate, start a business or get a job. The wall is open to anyone can contribute opinions or comment on those already written.
The Internet day is intended to serve organize digital literacy meetings between, for example, grandparents, parents and grandchildren. My daughter says she is willing to teach grandparents to open folders on computers, share documents and teach them how to search the Internet and read pages with key information for them such as weather forecast.
We hope that on May 17th it will be a party and that all participants, large and small, will enjoy and that the schools will join the celebration with great enthusiasm to continue spreading the opportunities that the Internet has for everyone.
