World Week for a Respected Birth 2010

The World Week for a Respected Birth 2010 It takes place from May 16 to 23 under the motto “Traumatic Birth, how to avoid it. Pleasant birth, how to achieve it ”.

To illustrate the celebration, I have selected two videos, made by Ms. Isabela Polito, doula, breastfeeding counselor and therapist, for the Aurora Madre Foundation, of Venezuela, which reflect in a very intense way the experiences of a traumatic and respected birth.

Week Respected Delivery World, an initiative of AFAR (Alliance Francophone pour l'Accouchement Respecté), is an opportunity to learn about international opinions on a specific issue related to the promotion of a respected birth.

The World Week of Respected Childbirth It takes place every year during the month of May. Objectives and ideas are proposed to perform according to a common motto. Individuals or groups can then discuss the specific steps to take advantage of the material that has been prepared together and that is available on the website: posters, folders and brochures. Many events can be organized to celebrate the week and to convey the importance of a respected birth and birth to society as a whole.
