Bibebrik, instant and disposable bottle

In line with the latest tragedy that Haiti has suffered, I have wondered what happens to the hundreds of nursing babies who have run out of mothers and cannot receive breast milk in any way. I think that for these children it could be a solution these single-dose, instant and disposable baby bottles called Bibebrik, of which we talked to you a while ago and that we return today.

This type of bottle would be a safer solution than the formula milk packages to be prepared. And, as we have seen, international organizations urge that formula milk not be donated because of the dangers that come with the likelihood of contamination of water or containers.

In addition, if adults are not trained in the correct preparation of the bottle they could make mixtures of inappropriate proportions, with the consequent danger to the baby's health.

So that this type of bottle could be suitable for humanitarian emergencies, the problem is that I imagine it will be expensive and then solidarity does not appear so clearly. And a disposable bottle also takes up a lot of space to transport and store.

In these cases, my face falls ashamed to think that there are babies starving and we do very little.

But what exactly is this bottle? Bibebrik is a sterile and disposable bottle which houses separately the different components to prepare the intake: milk powder on one side and mineral water on the other, in exact proportions. While the ingredients are not mixed, the bottle is long-lasting (about two years from the date of packaging), and once we want to prepare it is done without handling the milk, maintaining the asepsis of the products.

The bottle has two separate and sealed sealed compartments that communicate when we want to prepare the mixture. The nipple is also covered with a sealed lid and fits into the mouth of the bottle when the baby is going to take it.

Despite its advantages for certain situations, I see inconvenience to this bottle. As they are disposable and, although recyclable, in many places there is no possibility of recycling, with the consequent damage to the environment. Imagine half a million of these bottles in Haiti, or in our city.

On the other hand, no matter how much they tell us they are sterile bottles, the sterility of milk powder is not assuredWell, even if it is rare, if you play a contaminated game because of a lot of asepsis and zero manipulation when preparing the bottle, formula milk is already bad.

Another issue is that the bottle does not appear to be available in the market for sale to the public and there are some informational gaps on the web regarding the type of formula milk used.

The Bibebrik instant bottle He has received several awards as an invention, and what we do know is that he presents two versions (milk and milk with cereals) in three sizes: 180, 120 and 60 milliliters. Considering the bottle suitable for one-year-old babies is supposed to be the starter milk, but what about cereals too? An important gap in the information to those interested.
