NetMoms: The portal for mom

A new portal dedicated to Spanish Internet moms arrives in Spain.

This is NetMoms, a social network like Myspace or Facebook in which mothers and future mothers They can exchange tips, concerns and experiences.

NetMoms was born in 2006 in Germany where this year it has been awarded by the organization “Germany, a country of ideas”, headed by Horst Köhler, president of the German Government and has more than half a million registered users.

It combines the concepts of portal and community by offering various systems and channels of information and interaction between participants.

Among the contents and possibilities there are spaces for consultation, magazine, discussion forums and even more concrete sections for each city Spanish so that they can contact mothers of the same population. On the occasion of its opening, the community holds a contest that will reward the best photos submitted by its users or their best advice.

In the words of NetMoms co-founder Tanja Princesa de Waldeck, the initial idea was to create a community where new mothers, women who are faced with the difficult task of combining home and career, could feel the support of those who are in a similar situation.

I have taken a look at the web and in addition to having a pleasant environment, some interesting topics and comments from some mothers can be seen with the naked eye. I have not registered (although I felt like it) because I am not a mom. For when a portal for parents?
