Choose colors for the room, choose sensations

At the time of paint the children's room, we can guide ourselves for practical reasons, for our own tastes, for the traditional pink or blue depending on whether it is a boy or a girl, for feng shui or simply to let them decorate them themselves.

But we can also take into account the sensations produced by the colors, to avoid for example that a bright red alter to the little ones over the account. Because colors are usually associated with a mood: we have all heard of cheerful colors or muted colors. Colors can transmit tranquility, energy, serenity... But what are those feelings associated with what colors?

The neutral tones as gray they are considered "calm colors", compared to reds or oranges, which are described as "cheerful colors". The warm tones they are yellow, orange, red or brown. All relate to vitality, joviality and strength. The first two, in addition, can represent a more welcoming environment, compared to the red that transmits a lot of energy. These warm tones tend to give a feeling of spaciousness.

The cold colors they get the opposite effect, it seems that they reduce the space. They are green, blue or purple. They symbolize calm, tranquility, serenity or tranquility.

If the room is cold, it should be painted with warm tones. If on the contrary it has a tendency to accumulate heat, it should be painted with cold tones. What's up with the target? This is the absence of color and is great as a heat insulator and to visually extend a room, the same effect that warm tones achieve.

Other tricks to keep in mind are those related to ceiling painting: when it is painted a lighter shade than the walls, a lifting effect is created, giving the sensation of a greater height. On the contrary, if the ceiling is painted darker than the walls, an approach effect is created.

In any case, I think the best is give our personal touch and that the color scheme as well as the inclusion of varied figures or drawings Stimulates children's senses and imagination.
