When you have a baby you become a kind of diaper test lab. At the beginning you start trying the baskets, you buy the Dodot Sensitive package because you assume that with those it will be more "comfortable" and after a couple of weeks in which you spend diapers as if there was no tomorrow, you start looking for other options.
In my case I came to Chelino on the recommendation of a friend that also a small baby and in one of our moms conversations we came to the diapers issue. I was amazed to see how he talked about them with enthusiasm, as if he had found the Holy Grail. Obviously I had no choice but to buy and try them.
How are these diapers?
The first thing that caught my attention is that they are manufactured by Indas, a Spanish brand that also manufactures the diapers that I used with my daughter in the hospital and that seemed good quality to me.
They look halfway between a white-branded diaper and a brand-name diaper, that is, they don't have a very nice design to say, but They are not plastic and their touch is soft. I read that a while ago they changed it and that it is now thinner… I have only tried the new ones, so they are one of those I will talk about.
These diapers are anatomical: the absorbent core (that is, the thick part), is narrower in the crotch to make it more comfortable for the baby. Both the back and the wings are elastic, so they fit well at the waist. It also has bands that fit the legs to prevent leaks.
How do they work during the day?
I want to differentiate diaper use between day and night because the baby's activity is different. During the day I usually change about every 4 hours and hold it perfectly. He has never irritated his ass or legs, so I attest that the materials they are made of are very soft with their skin.
As for the escapes, I must say that he has never had pee, although he did poop a couple of times ... it may be because they have been more liquid than normal but I have noticed that the absorbent part does not go to the back. Probably if I reached that area I would have zero escapes and touch perfection.
With respect to the smell it is barely perceived, so at that point I must say that it totally approves.
And during the night?
My baby did not change my diaper at night because he only pees and they endure phenomenal: he has never had leaks (which happened to me several times with the Dodot Sensitive), and when you change it in the morning you don't have a wet ass. Obviously the diaper looks very swollen, but normal for the hours he is wearing.
Conclusions
I understood why my friend talked about them so effusively. Despite the two times I've had an 'accident' in almost 3 months of use I think it's a good diaper. As I told you at the beginning, It is not pretty but it has a good value. You can find them in pharmacies and online stores (which is how I buy them and how they come out at a better price, approximately 0.16 euros per diaper).
They seemed very good to me and I would recommend them, although I know that the experience can vary from baby to baby. I have seen that on their website they offer samples, and although it is necessary to try them several days to know if they are going well, at least it can be used to have a first approach.
