A curious reaction we have seen is that of a two-year-old girl named Julia. We were visited by some friends (Julia's parents), after a good time of conversation a topic arose with which we all laughed at first, but in reality it is a problem to solve, it seems, every time our friends lavish gestures of love and affection, Julia starts screaming and almost crying, preventing both parents from giving each other a kiss or a hug.
They gave us a live demonstration, the little girl had no qualms about showing her anger even though we were ahead. Their parents explained to us that this attitude was quite normal, according to the consultations they made, young children sometimes want to hoard one of the parents for themselves and sometimes they are very effusive. As a general rule it is the parent of the opposite sex who receives all the attention of the child. The parents follow the advice provided by the specialists, they must make the girl understand that there is no exclusivity and that one of the parents cannot be set aside, they should be treated equally.
The samples of affection between the parents will be finally accepted by Julia, in no case should they hide, instead, it is necessary to involve the girl and above all, not give her any reason with which she can believe that it interferes in the relationship of both.
The reactions of young children are always surprising, in this case we hope that the situation is resolved quickly and the protests and anger of little Julia end.
